Additional Information Section Help!

Ok I have ALOT of info to put down that are extra. I have a video I need to send and some addiitonal info. I don't want to email my admissions rep and put all the info there. Is there a way I can include some info that might make my app a little clear..maybe explain low grades..explain my rank, rigor...etc ec's and all that jazz. Is there an extra 1 or 2 pages ( how many pages?) of additional ifnormation I can include that the admissions officers WILL read?

Of course my counselor will include some stuff, but some of it she really won't be a help on.

I'm scared of the UC's because I really need to tell them something about my rigor, but I heard UC's don't read essays or additional info pages? I'm scared....

Schools I'm looking at ( just tell me which schools offer additional pages that you can include info on):

UCLA
UC San Diego
UC Davis
Georgetown
Columbia
Stanford
northwestern-common app
brown
Princeton-Common APP
U of Chicago
Cornell-COMMON APP
Harvard-Common APP
Yale- Common App
Upenn-COMMON APP
USC
Rice-common app
Duke-common app

Common app definitely has space for additional info. Why don't you just look at the apps yourself?

Supplementary materials like videos should just be sent via mail directly to the admissions office.

Additional info is stuff like 'My mom died and my grades plummetted' or 'I had mono and missed 3 months of school'.

Unless you have what one would call a legitimate excuse, don't put it in that box. And certainly don't write two pages about it. One paragraph. Maybe two.

Why not ask your GC to explain that? That being your rigorous course load and rank. I would suspect that that is not something you put in Additional Info, but I am not sure. I would think you put an illness, hardship, etc. there.

UCs won't accept supplemental info like a video or drawings or an extension of your essay but yes, they do read essays and the additional info part.
