Additional information section

<p>I got the brilliant idea of using this section on the application to attach a page-long excerpt of my novel in progress, figuring the admissions officers might like to get a better picture of the content of my main EC. I talked to an experienced college admissions adviser about it (her volunteer time, before I get jumped on for being rich, which I'm not), and she thought it was a great idea as well. We already discussed how admissions officers really don't like resumes (i.e. that they don't add anything), and I thought this was a much better use of the space. However, I don't want to act based off of only one other opinion than my own. So, is my line of thinking correct?</p>
