In the Harvard Supplement, there's this section called Additional Information where you can dump in whatever you'd like them to know. Will you use it? For what purpose?

I wrote an essay expanding on my most meaningful EC.

(I got in EA)

sunglasses: congrats! Was your essay about 500 words, just like for the common app?

Yeah, I seem to remember it being 497 words, lol.

And--thanks!

Then again, you applied EA, so they wouldn't smell Yale in that. But now, they may think it's so Yale...

I thought there's a section for additional essay. If you put your essay in additional infor, what did you put in the "additional essay" box, sunglasses?

to e1dj86: I think it doesn't matter how it smells as long as you can write an excellent piece of writing.

Oh--yeah, I put it in the additional essay...sorry, I did the app in September. Yeah, I left the additional information section blank.

My impression of the additional info section is that you would explain circumstances such as: low grades in a semester of your sophomore year due to a death in the family, circumstances surrounding a school change, etc.

If you don't have any additional info to convey, leave it blank.

One more thing: I did send a resume, but I sent it via-mail to my admissions rep, not via-app.

how do you figure out who your admissions rep is? is it on their website somewhere?

bump-- i'd like to know too

tried searching the h website.

didn't work.
