There is a section in the common app and the Stanford Supplement for additional information. Where should i put the info?

Stanford has detailed instructions for the Supplement Additional Info - they are only looking for a narrow set of very specific things, and say that most applicants won't use that section.
Anything else, you should put in the Common App supplement - that is also presumably relevant to all your colleges, anyway. (remember at present the common app locks, so once you submit to stanford, you can't change it when you want to send to other colleges. They may change that, but I wouldn't count on it.)

what type of narrow things are them?
any examples?

if I repeated a grade, should I explain why?

If you print out the form (or download it) the last page has all the instructions. It's best you read the full original instructions, rather than rely on partial information.

I think if you repeated a grade and have a good reason, you should explain

it's just that I'm an international student, and I repeated 10th grade when I came here just so I can be more prepared for college.
(plus, doing so enabled me to do IB HL English and AP Eng Literature now :))
is trying to adjust more for college a good reason?

I think the fact that you are an international student trying to adjust is definitely a good reason. Also, you should mention that you have improved vastly and is in AP english classes
