well i think you could put that under ECs....because in college apps you don't wanna list a whole list of ECs...just the major ones you're passionate about or the ones that you think will stand out...

However if you really can't add it, then just add it there....i think the additional information box is for stuff like "oh i took a gap year cos of this this this" kinda thing...but if it's important to you that you put the gold medal...then i don't see why not. Colleges are not going to reject you because you put the gold medal thing on an "additional info" box.

I originally thought I was going to use the Additional Info section to uplooad a resume, but I realized I was being redundant, so instead I uploaded a paper elaborating on some of my extracurriculars (some of the titles of clubs I'm in couldn't fit in the Activities section or the names didn't really make sense if you're unfamiliar) so it made sense for me.

I used the space for another short essay I'd written which I thought highlighted aspects of my personality not shown in the rest of the application.

could we use the space to ellaborate on our professional goal. On one of my apps that is not on the common app their addition info states that they want to hear about this. I have written i short essay to answer this question, so do you think it is worth adding on the common app in additional info?

you should create a thread called "My Questions" and post them there instead of flooding the boards with them. If you did that in the beginning, that thread would probably have a good 30-40 pages to it by now.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, search for the username "Canes12."
