Additional Letter of Recommendation

Since the Common App doesn’t allow an additional letter of recommendation, are we allowed to send in one separated through mail/fax/email? I did research over the summer, so my mentor wrote me an excellent rec letter that I used for other schools, was wondering if I could add it on to my Hopkins app as well. Preferably I could have him just email it to admissions if possible. If email is permissible, do I need to have my name/DOB/high school on the letter itself, or just in the email?

Try to call and ask, they should accept them for the next couple days/weeks

I just found this on their website:

"Can I send additional recommendations, supporting materials, or updates to my previously submitted application?

Yes. You may submit additional items if they genuinely contribute to your application file. There is no guarantee that items submitted after the deadline will be added to your file. To provide an update to a previously submitted application, mail, fax (410-516-6025), or e-mail (apphelp@jhu.edu) a letter of update to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Please make sure that all materials include the applicant’s full name, birth date, and high school."
