Additional Recommendation?

<p>I asked one of my teachers to write an additional recommendation for me (my English teacher wrote my main one) but they hadn't finished it by the time I had to submit my application (EA). On the common app site the recommendation is listed as "started" and the others have been downloaded by the college. Will my teacher even be able to send it in through the common app now that it's submitted, and is that why it's not completed yet? Or did he just forget to submit it? And if I still wanted to send it in, would I have to mail or e-mail it to admissions if common app won't do it?</p>

<p>Your teacher has not finished it online if it still says “started”. If he mailed it in, you won’t see that info on the common app site, so it’s possible he finished and mailed it. </p>

<p>EA schools will accept recs and scores for some time after the deadline for the student materials, so it might not be too late for your extra rec to be finished. These late items are accepted both through the common app site or by mail. It’s up to the teacher which way to submit the rec. You might check with your school to see whether it’s too late.</p>
