<p>i'm using the common app and one of the schools i'm applying to allows additional recommendations from people outside of school. </p>
<p>for these recommendations, i'm planning to ask my employer and my church leader. my question is, do they have to fill out the common app's teacher eval (checklist for integrity, etc) or can they just type a letter of recommendation?</p>

<p>I had this same question. If there isn't a specific form for people other than teachers to fill out, just have them write on their own stationary or type out their own letter. I think the common app's teacher evaluation's only for teachers.</p>
<p>Also, I was planning to ask my pastor to write me a letter too, but my counselor says unless you're applying to a religion affiliated school, it won't make much of a difference. Who knows? You could end up annoying the admissions officer with so many letters?</p>
