<p>Yes, I saw that letters were sent out in mid-February, and I don’t think that I received one. However, my online financial aid statement per IU has an item labeled “Hnrs/Herbert Presidential Schl”. <p>I’m just confused as to which scholarship I got, and how the heck I even got it.</p>
<p>ConnMon, were you notified of the Hutton Honors scholarship that shows up on your screen snapshot?</p>
<p>The fifteen hundred figure seems too low for Herbert Presidential. And since it is the same amount as the Hutton Scholarship, the Hutton/Herbert one may be a duplicate post. You should contact Hutton and get it cleared up/explained. Mistakes are common on the early financial aid statements.</p>
<p>Hutton lists a Jill Baker as the responsible for scholarships for incoming Hutton students. You should probably contact her.</p>

<p>So ConnMon got us curious. It took my daughter and I a while to find the Anticipated Financial Aid page on OneStart that ConnMon showed, but when we found it we were pleasantly surprised to see the Hutton Honors Scholarship listed. She has not received any official communication about this scholarship so I suppose it is not official yet. We were at the Chicago-area Scholars Reception on Sunday and met Jill Baker (bthomp1 mentioned above), and she said HH scholarships are announced at the end of Feb, so it should be any day now. I don’t know anything about the Herbert scholarships since DD is OOS, but wishing you lots of luck that it’s not a mistake!</p>

<p>Just a thought: it is my understanding that the Herbert scholarships are funded by a Lilly Foundation grant and must be matched by the awarding campus (Herbert scholarships are awarded at other IU campuses too). So for ConnMon perhaps the fact that the two scholarships have the same value is not a coincidence. I have seen in prior years that the Herbert Scholarship total value ranged from $6000 to $12000 which would be $1500 to $3000 per year.</p>
<p>EmptyNest and Connmon what were your scores ACT wise and GPA. I am a DA to Kelley, admitted to Hutton and from OOS but my Anticipated Financial Aid still only lists my automatic scholarships.</p>
<p>@fldhockey, DD’s ACT=33, UW GPA=3.95, W GPA=4.53. But remember that while the automatic scholarships are based solely on GPA and ACT/SAT, the selective scholarships consider essays, activities & work experience, LORs, etc. Although to be honest, while DD’s ECs and essays are good, I wouldn’t describe them as outstanding… We still have received no official communication about the HH scholarship, so I wouldn’t consider anything official yet. Will post if/when we do receive some official communication.</p>
<p>In reply to an early post, I have already received postage regarding my acceptance to Hutton, but nothing about the Presidential Scholarship. Fingers crossed that it’s the real deal, and I’m still waiting to hear back from IU after I emailed them on Sunday.</p>
<p>@fldhockey my GPA was a 12.98 weighted (we’re on a 12.0 scale), and my SATs were 750CR, 740M, and 670W. Any other questions?</p>
<p>Update: IU emailed me back, and I did get the scholarship. Anyone else who got it probably has a similar notification on their student service account.</p>

<p>So it sounds like we probably have a few weeks before receiving anything solid. I did receive my Hutton Honors College scholarship info today though, so maybe it’ll be here soon.</p>

<p>As far as the amount for the Herbert goes, the annual amount for the scholars this year is $3,000. That’s $12,000 over 4 years. All the Herbert Scholars get the same amount. My fin aid award says “Herbert Presidential Scholarship.” You are looking at the Fall Semester of your aid. </p>
<p>You might have been nominated for the Herbert through another school, which is why you haven’t gotten a notification yet. I got a letter in the mail about 3 weeks ago telling me I received it, then another a week later with more details. I have a friend who’s a DA at Kelley and she got an email notification this past week. I was nominated through CAS because I’m a DA in that College.</p>
