Hey W&M Admission,

I was wondering if it was too late to send additional information/recent awards I have received to include in my application.
I understand that admission decisions are quickly approaching, but I feel this information is important and could only help my chances of getting into my dream school!

I am from Illinois and am not sure whether I should send this new information to my admission representative personally or just send it to "general" admissions.

Thank You!

reaction, feel free to send additional materials to your regional rep (Senior Assistant Dean Wendy Livingston is the regional dean for the MidWest). The team will make every effort to include updates in your application file.

Thank you very much, and may I just say that I applaud W&M’s modern approach to admissions. Having an admissions representative present in a social media and internet setting truly eases my own (and I imagine many prospective students’) worries.

Good to hear Reaction. We enjoy utilizing CC, Facebook, Twitter, our Admit It! Blog and we’re even venturing into FourSquare. It’s good to meet students and families where they are

Dear W&M Admission,

I was surprised to see this post … since decisions are coming out in two weeks, I thought that the final decisions have been made.

NewJerseyMom, no decision is final until we release decisions. The bulk of our review process is completed at this point but Committee is still meeting and we continue to make decisions on applicants on a daily basis. That’s simply the nature of managing a pool of 13,000 applicants. If students want to add information at this point they can although most of them realize at this late stage it’s unlikely to impact any decision we might make or have made.

Does that make sense?

Thank you. What I’m hearing is that the decisions are wrapping up. Students are welcome to send in updates but at this point it won’t impact decisions.

NewJerseyMom, we are in the final stages of creating the incoming class. At this point, much of the work is done but we can still review any file at any time until the moment decisions are released.

While applicants are welcome to update their file they should realize that time constraints may prohibit us from being able to review the new information in conjunction with the original application materials.
