Im applying to SAT Optional colleges ie middlebury, bowdoin, hamilton, bates, college of Holy Cross, Connecticut college, Franklin & Marshall College, Union College and Dickinson college this year. i got maths-680, reading- 530 and writing- 580 so thats 1790.. its not that gr8. but i think i'll do pretty well in sat2
these colleges ask if they shud consider my scores.. so shud i give my scores to them...
i am planning to give sat1 again this year and apply to these colleges next year... will this affect of chances of addmission..

I think the general rule of thumb is only if your math and verbal are over 1300 submit.

At Conn College, Hamilton Middlebury SAT/ACT are not required if you submit SAT Subject Test, Advancement Placement, Int’l Baccalaureate or other exams

They will most likely see your SAT I scores when they are submitted.

Franklin & Marshall require SATs for merit scholarship consideration.

You really don’t have to decide yet; the College Board’s new choice policy will allow you to submit SAT and Subject Test scores only from the sittings that you want. Your list includes many of the most selective test-optional schools in the country. For nearly all of them, you’ll need to show real strength via our transcript and recs to offset not submitting scores. Particularly since your math score is already solid, it’s worth taking the SAT again this spring and maybe even next fall.

score choice ftw!

see im in 12th now… so i’m plannig to drop 1 year and then prepare well for the SAT1 and give it again in that 1 year, if my scores r good then i’ll apply to colleges that require SAT… otherwise i again have to apply to these same SAT optional colleges…

so my doubt is having already applied to these colleges this year and rejected or waitlisted, will this affect my addmission next year when i’ll be applying to the same colleges that rejected me… coz i heard that if u apply to same college twice u wont get addmission the second time, even if u’ve improved ur essay or have more social involvement even if ur a better candidate…

I didn’t give my scores to Utica College and they accepted me!
