Address error on midyear transcript?

I’m looking at a copy of my unofficial transcript from this semester and one from last semester, and I realized that the city is wrong on the new one. My city is a suburb of a much bigger city, and was a part of that bigger city until the 90s (so some signage and addresses are still wrong), but it says that my school is in the major city (instead of the suburb) on my transcript now, for some reason.

I’m not sure what really can be done, since this has already been sent out to all the colleges, and it wasn’t something I had control over in the first place. I also can’t confirm that this looks the same as the official transcript, but considering the only difference is that if you want a official one the office has to sign it, I can’t imagine it’s different.

Will this error in the address of my school (both in the address and the part where it says ‘schools attended’) confuse colleges/cause a problem? The rest is the same, and there’s only one high school with my name in the state.

edited because I reread this and it’s confusing: The only error is that where it says “School name, address, phone number” it has the address and phone number right, but says [big city, state] instead of [suburb, state].

Also when it says “School’s attended” is says the right middle school (and right city for that) and right high school name, but then [big city, state] instead of [suburb, state].

This should be fine for you, since someone who is confused about it can quickly verify that the transcript should be matched to your file.
You might check in with your HS college counselor, because it sounds like this is an issue that the school needs to fix on their system for future seniors.

@siliconvalleymom Okay. What’s weirder is that I have a version of my transcript from the beginning of the year, and the address is right on that, so it must have just gotten messed up at the semester  I’m just hoping it won’t make the transcript void or something.

As apparently the school has been where it is since the 90s but has sent out transcript listing the old address, apparently it isn’t a big deal right? Since if it were a big deal, somebody would have been clued in, right? I doubt that colleges got confused for 15-20 years without somebody letting the school know.

The neighborhood has been around for a long time and so has the school, it’s just that the address was officially changed in the 90s (from the old city to the new one). Also, this isn’t an old issue, since earlier in the year (and every other transcript I’ve ever seen from them) has had the right address. Still, colleges can double check the rest of my file, so I think it’ll be fine…it’s just weird.
