A question from my recommender: It seems that she could only submit one recommendation letter only. Does it mean that she cannot address the name of a particular university/ college in her recommendation letter? If so, which is better: "I would recommend him for your college" or "I would recommend him for your university"?
Thank you very much for your help.

Your recommender should under no circumstances mention a specific college in his or her letter. Unless, of course, you’re only applying to one college.

That said, all universities are colleges, but not all colleges are universities.

Thanks for your help

Colleges expect the letter to be fairly generic (at least in terms of referring to the college you are applying to), as pretty much all applicants use their letters for several different colleges. The only situation my kids ever had a “specific” letter was when one of my kids had an academic activity coach for several years who wrote an extra letter for his alma mater college for my kid that she only submitted to that one school.
