We visited Adelphi and its in my son’s top 10 list to apply. He loved the campus and dorm set up. It seemed heavily commuter and not particularly diverse. Not to mention the cost!
That said I am more concerned with if he gets in and we get a package that makes it affordable would he find space. I didn’t even see any NPHC there as I recall. Any input parents of former Black Adelphi students or those with students considering

I grew up near Adelphi and always considered it to be pretty much a commuter school. Maybe things have changed but I’d certainly spend the time to research what percentage of students live on campus (and how many stay on campus through their four years).
