Iv had adhd as a child.. haven't been treated in years.. just re-diagnosed with both adhd and gad.. in the midst of this I have pretty much jumped into the lake of college.. completed assessments and been accepted and have first freshman semester set up.. have filed for grants and am still waiting..
Questions of concern.. the filing requests state nothing about disability funding help..? I'm also wondering what accomodations would be reasonable to request.. I do know that I can't sit for long w/o the torturous urge to get up and do something..

From my experience at a college and with my own daughter, I would say that wherever it is that you have that ‘first freshman semester set’ … definitely check on where the college’s ‘disability services’ office is. Make an appointment as soon as possible, and if you can, take along documentation of the disabilities. Then you can sit with a counselor to learn what types of accommodations exist, how to let teachers know, etcetera. It will be a ‘load off the shoulders’ and help relieve some anxiety, and it will put you in a good/ prepared place when you begin classes. Good luck!
