<p>can’t add to the already good information listed above with regard to names of schools - but just wanted to add that an important part of dealing with this situation is to have confidence in your kid, and to understand that there are a lot of places who really want to see you. </p>

<p>It sounds trivial - but the parent’s confidence makes a difference. It filters through to the kid -we knew that. But also it means that you will know when to push and when to back off when asking people to help your child. </p>

<p>there are a lot of places out there who want the kid who isn’t perfect but tries hard and has some unique insight. It’s not every place, and there are only so many slots - when they’re filled, they’re filled - but the slots are there, and I suspect you will end up feeling pretty good about your kid when you find them.</p>
