My name is Apek****h and I'm a senior in atlanta. The question is that I'm a student who got transferred from India to USA and was initially a "CP" student but I built my way up to succeed. I'm a excellent community worker with extraordinary leadership activities and I want to pursue education in GT in Computer science and I'm a excellent student in CS. the problem I have is that I'm not able to cope up with SAT. My best score is 1200/1600. But, my weighted GPA is 3.6 with five AP classes this year. When I visited Gt they had told me that they had admitted students who have my profile with good extracurricular and an excellent essay. If this is the case do you think that i can hope to be part of GT. And if necessary what do you think that I need to do get admitted apart from raising my SAT.

If you have a 3.6 GPA, 1200 SAT, great EC's and a good essay, you have a shot at getting in. Being instate helps you too.

It really varies person-to-person though. I know people with lower stats than you who have gotten in, and I know people who had 4.0 GPA's who've gotten rejected. In general though, a 3.7+ and 1350+ makes you competitive.
