Think this has been asked before, but do you think admissions officers look at this site a lot?

I especially think about "what are my chances" posts, where they might go just to laugh at us. But, some of the posts are really identifying (like unusual stats, ECs, etc.) so do you think this would play a role in decisions? Let's say someone says he's applying to UPenn and an admissions officers happens to read the thread, and later reads an aplication that looks exactly like what he posted on CC. Will this affect them?

yeah last year someone said that after they got in an admissions officer said that they had recognized the person from cc bc their ec (or something like that) was unusual. thats why i dont post stats or anything.

Even if adcoms browsed these boards, they read so many applications and so many people post chances that it's extremely unlikely that they'd remember any similarities. If they do, it's probably a good thing.

Well, I was just a little worried. It's not like I've done anything bad, (except scold people with 1590s wanting to retake) but yeah the thought of officers reading these posts is a little weird.
