Ok so my counselor knows me by first name and were good. BUT I can get a rec letter from my principal because recently me and him have talked a lot because I'm doing some, thing really cool for the school.

Can he write it, technically he's an administrator

Thanks for your help guys

My daughter’s principal wrote letters for her. It was a small school and she also was her AP English teacher.

^ That’s a bit different since she had her as a teacher

Many colleges dictate who they want recommendations from. Some specify a number. For those that don’t specify, I think a letter from an administrator is fine. And you are right, tb, it is a little different, but the letterhead was still from the principal.

I doubt it…at my school the principle writes 4 or 5 letters every year, but I believe they’re signed under the name of a counselor because they’re supposed to be counselor recs and counselors hold more credibility.
