Administrative review

Hi everyone,

I took the May 5, 2018 SAT exam, and as you all know most scores are released now, but yesterday I recieved the following messege from the office of testing integrity:

"Dear Test Taker:

The College Board and its test administration and security provider, ETS, are highly committed to quality standards and fairness. After every test administration, we go to great lengths to make sure that all test scores we report are accurate and valid. To do so, we sometimes take additional quality control steps before scores are released.

For the reasons stated above, your May 2018 SAT® scores are delayed while we conduct an administrative review. This review is routinely performed on each test score in certain circumstances and may take up to three weeks. Please know we take these actions to ensure that all test takers have the same opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in a fair testing environment and that the scores we deliver to colleges are accurate and valid.

At the conclusion of our review, you will be notified if there are questions concerning your scores. Otherwise your scores will be reported to you and to schools you have designated to receive reports. If you have not heard from us by June 8, 2018 you can contact Customer Service at 866-756-7346.

Sincerely,

Office of Testing Integrity"

I didn’t cheat, but I don’t know if someone cheated from me, because I was fully concentrating on what is in front of me since I don’t want to miss a second during the test looking around.

So what does that mean? Did anyone experience a similar situation and can help?

P.S: This is the first time I take the SAT

Thank you

Hi

My son is having same email and situation. He took SAT in March 2018 and scored 1210. He took it again on May 5th 2018 and received email 2 days ago, as yours, to notify score is under administration review.

SAT test place is California US.

I guess that most likely his May’s score is higher than March’s score abnormally enough to flag “cheating”

Let’s wait and see!!!

Any updates?

My daughter is in the same situation. Test place, Somerset, NJ. Was emailed that results would be available on 6/8 and just today received an email that it would be an additional 6 weeks. I’m fit to be tied!

Update
My son got an email to notify that it would be another 6 weeks???

This is my son’s exact situation. Even same date notifications. He is homeschooled. It is the first time he takes the test. I spoke to the individual “in charge” of investing his test, but she wasn’t much help. Just waiting now. I’m so frustrated!

Hey
I am a senior in high school and I took the SAT in August. I received the same email you got, yesterday regarding. My SAT score. I’m very confused since I did not cheat and nothing happened out of the ordinary in my testing room/center. My sister, who was in the same room, even got her scores. I was wondering, did any of y’all ever receive your scores? And if so, how long did it take? I can’t really wait 6 weeks considering I have to turn in my early applications for college.

@Seniorszn19

Is it possible for you to sign up and take the ACT or another SAT. I know it’s the last thing you want to do, but waiting until this gets resolved may be too late.

@Seniorszn19
Have you gotten your scores back yet?

@HomeschoolMom2 and @jantim96
Have either of you gotten your issues and scores resolved?

@Caliviben
How did your situation resolve itself?

My son is in same situation and wondering if anyone got your situation resolved? He took SAT @ August and still under administration review.

@bjuice Still frustrated and waiting.

Did you get an outcome? My niece is going through this now and is very frustrated. Any advice?

Did anyone go through arbitration?
