Let’s all brace now

Hey guys, I just wanted to put myself out there as someone you can ask questions. I was in your exact shoes one year ago. I applied ED1 to NYUAD and I go there now so if there’s anything you want to know about the application process, Candidate Weekend, or even just the school itself (classes, workload, social life, living in Abu Dhabi, travelling abroad, etc.) or anything really, just PM me I’d be happy to help however I can  and good luck to you all I’m sure you won’t need it

is there any interview during the candidate weekend?:)) what are they about? how are the interviewers and their questions?:)))
when did they send you the invitation for the candidate weekend last year??:)))
sorry for the huge amount of questions! and thank you for your time!!^^

Everybody, please stop posting chance requests on somebody else’s thread.

A few things:
Do not bump old threads.
Make your own threads for chances. Don’t be lazy.

Can someone close this thread?

@basedchem I actually see no problem using this old thread for discussion. I mean it’s not even that old.

@basedchem Hello! I understand that chancing on others’ thread may present an issue for the bumpnig of old threads, but I think we’re just pretty much posting to say hi to fellow ed1 applicants to NYUAD. For a school with so little representation on college confidentials, this thread really is just a place where nyuad applicants can know whats out there.

You guys did not chance me, the one who started this thread :frowning:

@SATgeek Hey! Im no guru, but I think your stats sound solid! But just one thing, whats your nationality? Because to my understanding, the more people from your country applying to NYUAD, the harder it is to get in! But do give your SAT 2 and resits of SAT 1

@sarrahhdaherr How is the diversity? Is it as diverse as people say it is? I figured there are probably a high percentage of people from the middle east, since it was located there. Is the East Asian population an over represented group there as well?

What would you say for the average stats of the people who got in? If I had per say, a GPA of 3.9 and a SAT of 2260, would you say that would fit the average at least? <Sorry, been hearing different stories on the NYUAD average, especially for SATs. Some people say 2350, some say 2100, so I just wanted to hear it from someone who got in.

Are the facilities as good as they’re famed to be? How about the teachers?

Does everyone speak at least 3-4 languages? I read that somewhere and had a slight panic attack…only know 2 languages although I’m learning a third…how about ECs?

What do you like most about the school?

Sorry, it’s a lot of questions, but can’t help but be curious(and worried;;;

@Wilsonhsu1115 I am a Pakistani. Yes I think a lot of people are. My new SAT score is 2250  SAT 2 this december

@SATgeek youll probably get invited to CW, but when at CW, its all about whether or not you can fit the uni. So you should just sit back, submit application and relax a little

@Wilsonhsu1115 Whoa! I heard you went to the candidate weekend. Did you get accepted? Can you send me your achievements? Btw how was the CW?
