Hey there everyone so I’m super stressed lately because I have a 3.08 gpa out of community college and I wanted to know what are my chances of being admitted. I am a business admin/ bus Econ major and I have a pretty descent story. I was born in Afghanistan during the Taliban regime. Also currently I am a nationally competing taekwondo fighter.

Ucr-still pending
Usc-still pending
I also was wondering how usc calculates their gpa because I know it’s different than the ucs
You might have a chance at UCR but Bus Admin is pretty competitive for a transfer student. USC will probably be a denial and I am not sure how they calculate their GPA but should be the same as the UC’s as a transfer applicant.
Shoot! do u think it’s worth a shot to appeal for any of those universities? Ya I heard its a bit different the only reason I ask is because I bombed a few classes earlier in the start of my college career because of personal issues but I retook all of them and got either an A or a B in it but I just can’t figure out if the take the higher grade or average out the 2
@afg123: I would post on the UC transfer thread since there are more knowledgeable posters but from what I understand, your new grade would replace the old grade so the new grade would be calculated into your GPA.
