<p>Currently Biology (BS) major as UMass Lowell. I recently applied to UMass Amherst and am awaiting a decision - here is my status and wondering what you think!</p>
<p>High School:
GPA - 2.4 (low!)
SAT - 1700, 560 math 550 writing 590 reading
Accepted to schools like Fitchburg State, Curry College, UMass Lowell, UMass Dartmouth, Worcester State, etc. Wasn't denied from any, but they were all state schools.</p>
<p>College:
Currently Freshman @ UML studying Biology
last semester was undeclared with a GPA of 3.4
taking chem I, bio, college writing II, sociology
Wrote a good essay
Applied, they said my application was complete, then proceeded to ask me for my current grades from current professors to finalize my decision, I got:
College Writing B-
Biology B-
Bio Lab A-
Chemistry C
Chem Lab A-</p>
<p>What do you think my chances are? People seem to think I'll be accepted but I'm nervous and I think 50/50 shot. Also, it may help that I'm in the UMass System and meet the requirements technically that they look for for the UMass interchange system. Anyone ever done this/what do you think? Any insight is greatly appreciated!</p>
