I recently applied (early action) to ohio state (main campus) and the suspense of waiting for an admission decision is already getting to me. I have a 3.75 unweighted GPA, 29 ACT composite, and top 20% class rank (again unweighted). My extracurriculars include 3 years of basketball, 2 of football (1 as captain), 2 years National Honor Society, 4 years church group, and about 100 hours community service.
I’m just very nervous about admissions as I really want to attend OSU, so any insight is much appreciated!

You’re in for sure. I’d say that while not being top 10%/30ACT will keep you out of the running for serious merit aid, your stats should almost guarantee an acceptance with no defer/wait listing.

Thanks! I’m definitely feeling less stressed about the application process now.
As far as merit aid goes, I think I qualify for a small amount (maybe 2k or 4k a year), but I’m in state so the tuition will still likely be cheaper than private university’s I’m also looking at (though I qualify for more merit there).
