Admission Chances

Hello. I will be a senior in high school next fall in Wisconsin. I have wanted to go to Notre Dame for my entire life. Both of my parents went there and I absolutely love the school.

-UW GPA: 3.93

-ACT: 31 (twice)- hope to improve to 32/33 in fall

-Class Rank: Top 5%

-EC: Student Council all 4 years, NHS, Link Crew (Freshman orientation and leadership program), Leadership Committee (Selective group of about 15 kids who are leaders in the school/community), DECA, Soccer all 4 years (Chosen as captain for senior year), Tennis all 4 years, almost 200 volunteer hours tutoring math students and through church.

-Part time Employment at hardware store

-Will have take a total of 7 AP classes by the end of senior year

-Double Legacy

*I say I have done some ECs for 4 years in anticipation because I will be in those programs next year

**I understand that legacy only applies to parents which I already have, but my grandfather's brother was the chairman of the board for ND. LOTS of connections to ND in my family.

Your GPA and class rank looks pretty strong. EC’s look neat too. I’d say improve your ACT scores a bit (33+ would be best) and make sure you have unique and strong essays that distinguish you from the crowd- and you’ll be fine! :D

I don’t think you’re technically legacy but your grandfather’s connections may be better than that. I would up your act to like a 33 then you’d be solid.

Both of my parents went to Notre Dame. I am a legacy.
