Hello! I applied to Madison in early December. My unweighted GPA is 3.31 and I got a 29 on the ACT. I volunteer a lot and have participated in about 7 extracurriculars (grades 9-12). I also have a pretty decent employment history. I’m mostly worried about my GPA, it seems pretty low for Madison. What do you guys think?
Oops, forgot to mention I’m taking 4 AP classes: AP Psychology, AP Biology, AP Physics, and AP Calculus. I also took AP World History last year and got a 4 on the final exam.
Good-match, I thought my GPA wouldn’t make it (3.3 UW) With a 32 ACT and just got postponed. I would retake your ACT for a 30+
Many students with a lot of ECs and many less than A grades make me wonder if time had best been spent doing the homework instead of participating as much in the ECs. Too late to change your past. IF you do get into UW be aware that it will be much tougher than those AP classes.
