Hey guys I’m a junior in high school and I was wondering what my chances are to get into Notre Dame (dream school). My stats are as follows: top 5% (35 out of 700) with a 4.0 in one of the most competitive public high schools in Texas while taking the hardest classes offered at my school.
Relatively good ECs and multiple leadership positions including club president and church youth group leader (Catholic church). My SAT Is 1450 out of 1600 (770 math, 680 CR). My brother is currently a Sophmore at ND and my dad is an alumnus. How much will this help me? What do you think my chances are?
There is no sure thing at ND but you certainly look to be a very competitive applicant. Good luck.
Good stats. I would try to get your CR score over 700. And make sure you have good recommendations.
You have a pretty good chance. Your class rank is awesome, considering the type of school you go to (I also attend a big, cutthroat public school), and I’ll take your word for it that your extracurrics are good.
If you can raise your CR score just a little bit, I think that you’ll be a shoe-in, especially considering that your math score is extremely high and your brother/dad are alums.
Even if you don’t raise your CR score, I still think that you have a great chance - probably a 3 in 4 chance.

Focus on the SAT CR score
Nice, legacy is a thing at ND. Parents having attended ND helps a lot. You should retake the SAT if you don’t get in.
I improved my sat score to a 2280 (710 CR 770 M and 800W) does this change anything?
