Yo, just wondering if I should apply to SUNY at Buffalo. ( I’m an international from Morocco, I’m applying for aeronautical engineering )

This is one of my top schools because I’ve heard the faculty is great and it is relatively cheap.

GPA UW: 3.16
GPA W: No idea, will be like a 3.24
Senior year GPA: 3.74
SAT: W- 560 M- 640 CR- 540
Toefl: 103

Current classes: Advanced Arabic 2, Pre-Calculus, AP Stats, English 12, AP Econ, AP Gov, P.E

EC I will talk about:

  • Internship at IBM
  • Internship at Valencia ( Juice company )
  • Club soccer ( 8 years )
  • Varsity and JV soccer
  • Track ( 1st place in many events )
  • ROTARACT club
  • Speech and Debate team
  • COD eSports organization leader and manager. Hosted many LANs
  • Prom Committee
  • Soccer Coach for kids

Aeronautic Engineering is one of the hardest majors to get in, but in my opinion you will make it. I got accepted applying for Mechanical Engineering with a similar SAT score, which was my biggest worry. Your GPA is the only thing that may hurt you, but all of the EC activities should make up for that. Good recommendations from teachers mean a lot too.

Good to hear you got accepted! Yeah I honestly will feel lucky if I get in, the averages are a lot higher than what I have, especially for engineering. I think I’m getting more than average recommendations though.
