Hey wondering about my chances ( International from Morocco, applying for aeronautical engineering )

GPA UW: 3.16
GPA W: No idea, will be like a 3.24
Senior year GPA: 3.74
SAT: W- 560 M- 640 CR- 540
Toefl: 103

Current classes: Advanced Arabic 2, Pre-Calculus, AP Stats, English 12, AP Econ, AP Gov, P.E

EC I will talk about:

  • Internship at IBM
  • Internship at Valencia ( Juice company )
  • Club soccer ( 8 years )
  • Varsity and JV soccer
  • Track ( 1st place in many events )
  • ROTARACT club
  • Speech and Debate team
  • COD eSports organization leader and manager. Hosted many LANs
  • Prom Committee
  • Soccer coach for kids

WVU is only interested in GPA and SAT or ACT scores. They only look at M and CR scores. I think you look good and would even qualify for a scholarship. Search WVU scholarships.

The average GPA for the admitted 2015 class at WVU was 3.45. In terms of SAT, the average (CR+M) was 1045. Your SAT score is above last year’s average. While your GPA is a little lower than the average, your senior year GPA is higher (showing an upward trend (?)). I think it’s likely to get accepted. You have a decent chance! Good luck!

I would email admissions or call. My daughter called admissions about something when she applied and they were very helpful.

Thanks guys got accepted but not for aero, they told me general engineering. Bullshit

Congratulations! I would talk to admissions and see if you could transfer into Aero later. You don’t declare majors until end of sophomore or beginning of junior year.
