Admission chances?

What exactly are my chances of getting into uga? i have a 3.4 weighted, 13 AP/Honors, 30 ACT, 740 on both SAT II Bio and world history, and a ton of ECs...

For what year? Your weighted GPA is low. What is your unweighted GPA and how many APs are you taking? UGA doesn’t weight Honors classes.

UGA definitely does weight honors last i checked.

Wow. Your stats beat me. I had:
3.55(unweighted) ; 3.7 (weighted)
ACT: 29; 31math 25 English
AP Lang, Micro, Macro
A few EC’s

Your GPA is low, but you took a million AP classes.

Oh yeah, I got in Feb. :)

rsxwheeeeee,

“Additionally, if a weight is not already added to an individual grade, we raise by the equivalent of one half-letter grade (0.5) each grade earned in an AP or IB course. Unlike nationally- or internationally-normed AP and IB curricula, there is no standardized methodology for the designation of Honors courses. Consequently, it is UGA’s policy not to add any weight for these courses when recalculating a student’s GPA for admission. We do consider the number of Honors courses a student takes, however, when determining the rigor of his or her overall curriculum.”

i’ve taken 11 APs and have, i think, a 3.0 unweighted. do u know if i’m in a different applicant pool since i’m an out-of-state applicant?

hmm, guess the last time i checked was a while ago.
