Admission counselor ignoring emails?

Hi everyone,
I have contacted an admissions counselor at Sewanee: The University of the South about a very important question on my application two months ago and has not responded. I have emailed admissions a week ago and they have not replied to me. Can someone explain why this is happening. I am getting very concerned. Thank you so much!

Try giving them a call. It is way better.

In our experience last year they were always very responsive. Give them a call.

You’ve been waiting 2 months for someone to answer an important question that u emailed?

Tip: that fancy smartphone of yours has an app called “phone call”

Admissions counselors are crazy busy. Right now that times 10. Also, sometimes the websites are not up to date. Admissions counselors quit, take medical leaves, swap regions, etc, and the websites are not always updated. Generally it is more reliable to email the general admissions email. But if you don’t hear back from an email in say 10 days, you should phone.

@GMTplus7 Wow that would be such a wonderful idea, if it wasn’t for the fact that i’m always either working or going to school during business hours for the college.

No lunch breaks? No bathroom trips? The admissions department doesn’t have a secretary or voicemail?

No time to change classes either? Or the walk from the parking lot to the school?
