Admission date?

Why don’t you think you’ll get in Nebraskagirl? My stats are like 50/50 i think with Scripps but I have been waitlisted/rejected at other schools I thought I would get into which is making me really nervous about Scripps.

Same here robivennas. The waitlist option is WAY too popular this year. Im currently sitting next to my mailbox waiting for my unusually late mailman to get here, hopefully with a letter from USC. Hopefully today is the day for Scripps though! My math teacher told me he’d just mark me present so I could go home and check the mail because he’s a big Trojan fan haha im so anxious I can’t stop typing!

I just don’t think I’m lucky enough! Haha! That and you can’t help but have a few negative thoughts when you’re literally going gray from the waiting. I’ve already gotten into my number two, three, and for schools… But since visiting scripps I just really see myself there. Waiting sucks! Let’s just try to keep positive I guess! I’m also worried about the money issue. I know they consider that and I can’t pay to go there without A LOT of help! Also, soccer, your math teacher sounds awesome! I hope you get a good letter!

cough cough Stalking mother here. I totally think you will get in  Fingers crossed for all of you! I know you have all had enough waiting.

@sarsoccersar agreed, the waitlist option is far too popular this year. It’s so hard to predict if anyone will be admitted from the waitlist, and even if they do, most waitlist students don’t receive any finaid their first year
I’m hopeful for scripps though! I was rejected from pretty much every other LAC I applied to, which I was really surprised by. It’s been really suspenseful considering last year emails were sent out on the 22nd… These decisions better be good! :)

@ sarasun hi mom. We have obsession issues. :)

How many people applied to Scripps this year? Maybe they’re taking so long because they experienced a record number of applicants (like almost every other college this year, it seems).

I’m from the East Coast by the way, so I hope they don’t send the decision letters by mail!

pinklemonade, I think you are right. Scripps is not listed here but look at the percentage rise at similar LACs.
Oops, I see that’s last year’s stats. Well, I expect its probably true this year too.

It’s ironic that Scripps required RD applicants to apply by November 1 to qualify for merit awards, because it will be the very last school my daughter hears from! With the offers she already has in hand, I’m not sure how much interest she still has in Scripps. It is something of an anticlimax for her…

Good luck to all of you who are sincerely hoping for admission!

Sarsoccersar you have to let me know about USC! Im hoping to get my acceptance package/ rejection letter either tomorrow or the next day

I am a USC alum from way back - if anyone has questions please feel free to contact me. :)

Ahh nothing today! And my mailman laughed at me for running out to him! I suspect ill hear tomorrow if im in the bay and SoCal got it today! Eek! And yeah he’s a pretty awesome teacher! No way ill be able to get out of my AP English class though

@sarsoccersar - did you apply to Mills?

My English teacher is the awesome one. My trig teacher hates me. A lot. Is anyone else having seniorotis? I hope you ladies get good news-and soon!

Im starting to get senioritis but it will be in full effect once i figure out where i’m going next year!

@azmommm- no I didn’t- I don’t want to go to a REAL all girls school (I don’t consider Scripps one because it’s clustered with the other Claremont schools).

yeah my AP Stats teacher is cool; my AP English teacher is a UCLA alum… so no USC love there haha and he’s nuts.

I’ve had senioritis since the end of my freshman year  haha but seriously. I have it BAD! I hope we all get good news TONIGHT!

At this point I don’t even care whatthe email or whatever says! I just want to know.

Ok…maybe I still care… But you know what I mean! And for me, ecru homework assignment is like having teeth pulled. I’m trying to stay motivated but…I graduate in a month. I want a break haha.

I hope the news comes tonight and I hope we all get the answer we want!

@sarsoccersar - Good luck; I’m crossing my fingers for you! I know the wait is maddening. I agree, all-girl is very different. I went to an all-girl high school in So Cal and it was uber-competitive. SC was a blast after that (oh yeah - it’s a total party school - I don’t care what they say…) !!!

Nothing in the mail here today, either. If I were to wager a guess I’d say Scripps will send an email at 6:00 p.m. on Friday directing applicants to the portal. Scripps seems to like sending out notifications after COB on Fridays. Maybe so they don’t have to deal with angry or hysterical phone callers? …

Yes, good luck to everyone! Maybe we’ll all end up on the same campus next year.

I sure hope we hear tonight - last year they heard on the 23rd so we are already 5 days later! I can’t wait another day!
