<p>It’s definitely not alphabetical. D, who is near the end of the alphabet, got it at 6:24 am.</p>
<p>i got one from penn and cornell today…one from princeton yesterday.
i hate how they start the email with “Thank you for applying to the University of Pennsylvania” like how a rejection letter would be started</p>
<p>in case it matters, i got mine at 6:52pm and my last name starts with a G</p>
<p>I’m not sure whats going on, but even though both my sister and I applied, only she has recieved the email as of now. Her first name is earlier in the alphabet, she applied to a different school than me, and was also deferred ED. Maybe it’s just a random selection?
Where did this rumor come from?</p>
<p>I did receive the email, but I’m inclined to think its completely random. I mean, come on - whether or not you’re accepted, how does receiving an email or not mean anything at all?</p>
<p>Why would it be random? It takes some effort to randomize things, so there has to be a pattern to it.</p>

<p>well…if by the next week everyone has gotten this email, then we’ll know it meant nothing.</p>
<p>I only got Cornell’s and Princeton’s. Funny b/c I’ve already been accepted to Cornell. Ha. I kinda chuckled. I just wanna see like a big balloon pop up or something.</p>
<p>i really dont think it’s anything important and everyone will have it by the end of the week or something… its just how to check for decisions.</p>
