Applied to CAS, received the e-mail at 9:40pm.

contents:
*Thank you for applying to the University of Pennsylvania. We will be posting
Admissions Decisions online on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 5 p.m. EST.

Hm, I’m a CAS applicant too and still nothing. Although my friend from school who applied to Wharton got an e-mail at around 4pm - so maybe it is by what school you applied to.

got the email at at 3:45 yesterday. last name starts with a Z. the other two kids who applied to penn at my school did not get the email (1 applied to SEAS and the other to SAS). i applied to SAS as well.

I got mine at 6:26 AM (PST), I applied to CAS.
My last name is in the middle of the alphabet. I’m from the west coast.

You guys… I’m sure it means nothing. It’s just a reminder to tell you to check next Thursday! Haha.

I like ChairmanGuo’s theory that different members of the UPenn adcom sends them out regionally at separate times. Anyway… let’s all chill out? ( :

Obviously, the time at which one receives the email is not in any way indicative of one’s eventual decision. The university would have enough sense not to send them in waves based on admission results. I think many are simply agitated and draw unreasonable conclusions due to the extended wait.

Why send the email? None of the other schools sent us emails to remind us when to check. We just checked. We checked their website for info or came here to college confidential to get the dates but no reminder email.

hey!!
far worse than not receiving the email is to know that those who got the email have a stellar stats!!!
does it make sense?? plz comprehend urself…
