It states that decisions if admitted/rejected/wait-listed for EDII applicants will be out by Feb 15 by far the latest. For anyone who have had previous experience, when do these mails and e-mails really come around? And how early can they come?

And plus, can you get deferred to Regular Admissions if it's on the borderline?

I’m pretty sure this is the first year that they offered EDII for NYU

Or generally speaking in EDI or RD.

^ yup. What little info you can get will probably be from the EDI process. People were getting e-mails as soon as a day before Dec 16, MUCH earlier for LSPs. Snail mail for me didn’t come until a week later.
As for your last question, just think about it. You had the exact same deadline as the RD’s. I hardly think they’d defer admission for just a couple months when they didn’t even do this for any EDI’s.

I applied to EDI, and I got mine exactly on December 15th. I think they’ll be pretty good with meeting the date, but I wouldn’t expect it to come earlier than maybe the 13th or 14th. Good luck!

NYU never defers students who applied ED to RD. You either get accepted, or you don’t. And NYU STARTS sending decision emails on February 15, not by February 15. For EDI, they began sending the emails December 15 at 5:00pm EST.

I got my EDI acceptance email @ 4:30pm EST on Dec 15…30 minutes early.

Oh boy, the decision is sent by e-mail eh? I’m gonna break my mouse if anything.
