Post your admission decisions on this thread.

My daughter already has one admission decision and one likely decision, so the stress level isn’t that high. The big question will be the amount of the Medalist scholarship.

Best of luck to all.

I’ve been waiting so long a few more days won’t bother me. I’m more anxious to hear back from one other school (Stevens), although RPI is my second choice.

Good luck to everyone. I understand what wait and anxiety feels like. I was admitted in December EDI. If you want stats or info, let me know.

Candice

^Same position as me Fauster. I’m hoping to get considerably more than the minimum $15,000 and I also heard that RPI will give more aid if you keep pushing the FA office.

I think I saw in another post that the notification is electronic. Is it emailed, or do you have to log in somewhere?

^ On March 10th we will be mailed instructions on checking our decision (I asked the admissions office). I wasn’t told the time though lol.

The financial aid office told me that there MIGHT be a link with the financial aid offer but… well heres the exact email:

“We had planned to release financial aid awards online at the time the
admission decisions were released and then mail the paper awards a few days
later. However, due to an overwhelming interest in Rensselaer this year we
may have to release the financial aid awards one week later, on Saturday
March 17th. We are unsure at this point if we will need to go with the
later date, but notification will be posted online on March 10th (the day
admissions decisions are released) to let students know if their aid award
will post at a later date.”

“Overwhelming interest” I wonder how many more students applied to RPI and how much more competitive it was this year?

I got an email from Rensselaer saying the decisions will be posted 3/10 at 7pm

Here is the message:
Dear Rensselaer Applicant:

Your admission decision will be available onlineat 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 10.
So, is anyone else annoyed by the misleading topic line of that email? I haven’t been keeping close track of when they expect to release decisions, so I saw that and got excited thinking that my decision was ready.

I knew it was March 10th, but I still had a brief flair of hope that I got the actual decision haha. I really hope the financial aid is included with the decision. Is anyone else’s status page changed? I expected a countdown or anything different, but my login still shows my application status and the received materials.

That email made me jump out of my seat…they can’t mislead us like that, it’s ridiculous. I’ll be refreshing the status page from now until Saturday anyway though.

RPI only allows one written request for a review of the financial aid package-pls tell me if anyone knows different-that’s what i was told last year-my son is a freshmen majoring in engineering-I will be up there tomorrow and ask more questions as my daughter is an applicant this year-Good Luck to all-It’s a great school He is learning a lot and having a good time as well

Were we supposed to get emails after we submitted our application with our login and passwords? I don’t recall ever creating an RPI account.

I sent an email yesterday, but they haven’t responded yet.
