Admission Decision?

Hey guys, so I sent in my application on Nov. 12th, and ever since then I've been checking my gibson account for a decision. And as of now, I still haven't gotten one. :( Would anyone know when an e-mail or something would be forthcoming? Thanks in advance!

Same here, app complete Nov. 11 and have not heard anything back. Where are you from and do you have strong stats?

I’m from long island ny… as for the stats, im pretty confident about getting accepted though i dont know how much aid i will be offered. at least there’s someone in the same boat :smiley:

We are also from Long Island and my D has yet to hear. Her app was sent at the end of Oct. She has good grades (4.0), EC’s, AP’s but a boarder line ACT (28). It appears anyone from Long Island or Illinois, that received a score lower than 30 on the ACT has yet to hear. If I am wrong, please post. Thanks.

I don’t think that the act score has much to do with it, because my score was a 31…

Do Long Island and Illinois have the same admissions counselor? Maybe there’s a reason why we all haven’t heard back yet. And I agree, I don’t think admission is based off of scores because I have a 32 ACT and have not heard back yet.

My daughter hasn’t heard with a 34 ACT in GA who applied in September.

Long Island and Illinois have the same Counselor. Go to the status page and choose the link to counselors. You will see it is the same person.

@engineering2015‌ its funny you said that because i just checked and apparently Long Island and Illinois have the same admissions counselor. Her name is Rachel Thompson! Check this out <a href=“Meet Us | Undergraduate Admission”>Meet Us | Undergraduate Admission;

@easygoer1‌ beat me to it :D

which is weird since many of my friends here have already been accepted

The only promise Tulane made is to get responses out by December 15th if you applied by the 11/15 deadline. To his credit, fallenchemist has already explained (ad nauseum, because the same questions keep getting asked over and over again) in the main EA 2019 thread that this is not a process that follows a precise pattern and that acceptances come in up to the last minute. If you go back and look at last year’s thread, you will see that. And similar comments from fallenchemist (smile) And I suspect that the Admissions Counselor, who is likely looking at many hundreds (to thousands?) of applications doesn’t appreciate being called out here because someone is impatient.

On the other hand, Tulane does raise expectations a bit by using this process, but I respectfully assert that people are looking for a pattern that doesn’t exist. Too many variables.

I know this is a really exciting and stressful time for those involved. Two weeks left.

Thank you for the response @RMKA2013‌ but I think you have the wrong idea-I wasn’t trying to call her out, I was simply trying to figure out why many of my friends have received their decisions while I have not. However, since you say that there are too many variables, I guess all I can do right now is sit tight and wait. Thanks again for the input.

I am guessing region-based. D got an acceptance letter Sunday evening, max presidential and honors. She has a pretty high ACT though. She submitted a few weeks ago, maybe on the deadline.
