Admission Decision

Hey all. I just got rejected from Cal-Tech (Not my first choice though). I know that you are all excited about admission decisions. Well, I live close by and I got it today, Saturday March 19th. It is posted marked the 18th. Good luck to you all.

That was fast. Sorry to hear it. Good luck with your other schools.

Ya, I got rejected too, but that's just the way the ball bounces.

Gah, I'm REALLY sorry to hear that guys. I'd be absolutely crushed if Caltech rejects me (I've been in love with it for a long time). Good luck to everyone else!

Can you guys plase give your stats?

do you guys live hella close to Pasadena or something? about how far away?

Sorry to hear it Light_cow, but don't take it badly as nobody from Mater Dei High School Santa Ana ever got into Caltech, or MIT for that matter. It's just a lousy school you're in. They're all about sports. Your stats are awesome. Good luck man!!

jc, is what you said about Mater Dei true? No MIT? No CalTech?

Someone told me Santa Margarita can't get anyone into Stanford.

Lol. _jc, how did you know that I go to MDHS? Yeah, it is an all sports school. Joemama, So far in my 4 years at MDHS, No MIT or CalTech. During my freshman year, one got into Harvard and one into Stanford. Last year, for the top 10 students, the lower G.P.A. was 4.2. This year, it is like 4.45. Big difference you see. Oh, by the way, I don't think I'm that good... Did not even get Regents Scholarship at UCI...

For example, MDHS did not have AP Chemistry (because no one would teach it) or AP Biology (because not enough students) or AP Computer Science (because not enough students). However, they did spend $2 million on a new field and they are putting in a swimming pool and making a new gym...

Hey Light_Cow, no biggie. I remember a thread you started last year, way back, so I remember the school. You stuck in my memory because you were unusually honest and up front. Good luck man.
