I also noticed that if you click on the submit enrollment deposit link it brings you to login to your portal. I think there is a step by step process they follow to update their systems. My portal has not changed to accepted yet.

admissions says packet was mailed Friday - I have to assume at this point that itâs a rejection because I havenât seen a single post from anyone deferred or rejected.
@2023collbound âŠDonât assume that. Most people wonât rush to post a rejection or post it at all.
I heard portal will update again tomorrow? I wonder if this is true? Does anyone know if declines and defers are mailed out last???
fyi, the USC portal automatically updated to the âacceptedâ splash screen 4 days after we got the big YES envelope so if the USPS lost or miss-managed the mail sent out last week you should soon be able to gte & see an update on the portal.

We are in Georgia just outside of Atlanta. Also of note- the date of the letter was 12/13 and her portal was updated yesterday am when she logged in.
I have not had chance to ask her to look at the VIP if since she left to take finals at 6 this am, but I will when she gets home.

@macusc She logged in where your application status is⊠where it tells you if they requested additional info, etc. Again not sure why her portal updated when the letter hasnât been received but we arenât disappointed!

@bjo114 my daughters letter was supposedly sent on the 12th & her portal updated the evening of the 17th so check again tonight. She logged on like normal to see her checklist but it said Congratulations!
@tc1207 yeah I just called them and they said mine looks like it went out with the batch on Friday, so maybe ill get it today?? Im in SC though - shouldnât take this long, its ridiculous how long it takes Praying its not a rejection :-S

I just spoke to the Admissions Office as well. They were very nice and understanding of all the phone calls they are receiving. They told me that the decision letter was scheduled to go out on Monday, December 10th but due to delays between the University and the Post Office, the decision was mailed on Friday. They also told me that ALL applicants are assigned a VIP ID regardless of status, so that mystery is solved and is not an indication of your accepted status.
So some decisions could have been mailed 4 days ago correct?
@apdnj That is correct, many mailed on Friday (4 days ago), she was very specific about the date and did say that it was supposed to go out on the 10th. Good Luck to everyone. The University should be happy that so many people care so much about being a Gamecock!!!
