@03100504 Is the scholarship in the portal itself? If it is, then I guess my D didn’t receive it. Or was it a separate email?
Separate email that came a few days after email acceptance
All materials received 11/4. Acceptance on portal before Thanksgiving but email came Sunday after Thanksgiving. Scholarship notification came on Tuesday. Waiting to hear about Honors program
Honors program invitation just came by email! Not sure how high CU ranks on her list, but Honors and scholarship makes it more attractive
Admitted from out of state, 30 ACT and 3.5 GPA
when did you apply?
So it seems that people who applied very early got a decision mostly before thanksgiving. Is there usually another round soon, do they keep rolling out decisions, or is there another particular date (maybe before Xmas break or something)? Any idea from past history? D applied 11/14 so just before EA date. Just curious.
My D applied about Nov 5th and got her decision right before Thanksgiving. Really fast. No $$ though (I don’t think) but she is happy. It seems as if the decisions are all over the place.
@crownvic I applied Nov 3rd and heard back within a few weeks.
I, the parent, just received an email from UC Boulder Admissions about transferring college credits (like AP and IB credits) for incoming students. See text below. I thought this meant that maybe my D received her acceptance in her portal, but she says it still has no decision listed. I guess this is a generic email then, but it seems odd to have sent it to a parent. Thoughts? Has anyone else (admitted student or parent) gotten this email?
“Many incoming CU-Boulder students arrive with college credit already completed. Whether your student has credit from a college or university, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or the military, we’ll be happy to let them know what transfers to CU-Boulder” … and it goes on about what info to send in, etc. to see what will give them advanced standing.
parents got the same thing.
Did everyone just get this, or students who were admitted already?
My student is admitted, and I did receive the email. Not sure if that helps at all.
I received the email on 11/28 and told my daughter to check portal. She was admitted! Scholarship award arrived in the mail a few days later. Good luck everyone I feel like the email is a pre-cursor to an admission.
Thanks. It seems odd to receive that email before being admitted, but I hope you are right that it at least is a precursor. We checked her portal again tonight and it still shows her application is being reviewed… hopefully good news will come very soon! Congrats to those who have been accepted already!
FWIW, I emailed the person on that email I got, and they said those emails went to all students (and associated parents) who indicated on their apps that they would be coming in with advanced standing from AP or other college level classes… so somewhat generic… oh well, the waiting continues.
Hang in there, twicemama. Hope you hear soon. We are going through a similar hard wait with another school . . .these “rolling admissions” situations are emotionally challenging. I find it a little easier when the decisions are all released on the single date.
Admitted to CU Boulder with scholarship to Integrative Physiology. Found out on December 7th. ACT: 31, GPA: 3.6
