admission decisions this week

Accepted to Cockrell School of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering. Whew! Top 7.2% (I was actually in the Top 7% after 7 semesters, sent them that transcript, too), 33 ACT. Lots of ECA’s and leadership.

UT Dallas isn’t a CAP school, fyi. UTSA, UT Brownsville, UT El Paso, UT Tyler, UT Arlington are some of the UT system schools to offer CAP. Screw it, UTSA here I come.

Accepted to Moody College of Communications!! Top 10% with 26 act. Lots of experience and extracurricular activities relating to major and 200+ hours of community service. Very surprised and excited! I hope this relieves some stress to those that applied!

Moved to Texas senior year so my class rank was WAY lower, so didn’t qualify for auto.

Capped, sucks but i was hoping for cap. UTSA wont be so bad i think

Congrats everyone!! Accepted here too!
Undeclared, In State, Solid EC’s, 300 hours community service, 4.0 weighted, good essay, couple NATG German Exam awards, and a 34 on the ACT! School doesn’t rank outside top 10% but we are in Austin and have a really good reputation.

Edit: Oh yeah, and 12 AP classes.

It just says that your application is complete. A decision will be posted on this page as soon as one is made.
Seeing that you guys are seeing your status as “Currently being Reviewed” is killing me!

@forzajuve my status used to be that until around 5 days ago, it is now in review.

S1 just got in! Homeschooled with 1AP and SAT 1990. Liberal arts- economics. He is a commended student though. Congrats all!

Son got in from CA, 2120 SAT, commended, 3.6 unweighted, 4+ weighted (lots of APs), ok ECs.

Very happy for him! This is one of his top schools and we won’t hear from the others until after mid-March. I’m thinking of putting down a housing deposit, if we can, to hold housing for him, since we won’t know for certain until later.

Has anyone been offered Pathway and is it different from CAP? I’m really confused. Thanks for the help in advance.

Accepted Out of State
LAS Econ major
33 ACT
3.47 GPA
Highly selective HS
Solid EC’s

Rejected as an International from an American International School for Petroleum Engineering and Geosystems Engineering

1950 SAT (700 Math, 600 Critical Reading and 650 Writing)
IB diploma with extremely rigorous courses
275 hours of Community Service
Intern for 3 weeks with an NGO
Varsity Soccer since 9th grade
President of Broadcasting Club and MUN member since 9th grade
A sub 3.0 gpa but my high school does not rank at all nor weight so around a 60-75 % rank would have been the reason why.

I am just bummed that UT Austin is not even going to bother sending me a rejection letter and I paid 90 dollars for the application. My whole status was " We have all your documents and as soon as you admission decision will be posted, you will be notified". Today while checking, it said I was rejected :frowning:

Now I have to decide between Penn State, LSU and University of Tulsa on which one to attend.

When did you apply SD??
