admission decisions this week

As we predicted! So apparently if you aren’t accepted you are basically guaranteed CAP? (Given you meet the particular CAP school’s requirements, of course- which shouldn’t be too hard)

I’m talking strictly in-state kids

No, there are no guarantees

anyone predicting a time?

@Dboys969 from what I understand UT offers CAP to all Texas residents who are denied regular admissions

Today is the day guys! !

^ let’s hope

Have you guys gotten anything yet?

I bet they release the decisions late today. So they can then leave and not to have to answer a lot of phone calls. 5-6pm if I had to guess. But who knows. Best of luck to everyone!!!

Has anyone checked I’m too scared

@bla61262 I’ve checked twice this morning and I’m still in review. All kinds of antsy though!

Ahh me too!!

Not true at all.

probably to people that were close, but didnt make the cut…
AGH, 3 MORE HOURS!

After reading the statistics profile on the bealonghorn website, it appears that most Texan applicants were admitted to CAP in the past. Please feel free to double check or correct my math/logic. Last year, for example, there were 38,162 applicants, with 15,335 being accepted (including 104 PACE students). Out of the 38,162 applicants, 7,618 were from out of state. To find the number of Texan applicants (I couldn’t find this number on the website), I subtracted 15,335 from 38,162, getting 22,827 as the amount of applicants not offered admission. Since 2,435 out of state applicants were accepted, I subtracted that number from 7,618, getting a total of 5,183 out of state applicants that were not accepted. Then, I subtracted that number from 22,827 to get 17,644 as the total number of applicants (international and Texan) that were not accepted. I haven’t been able to find the total number of international applicants, but I would assume the number to be less than the number of out of state applicants. As there were 10,539 applicants who were offered CAP, this shows that the majority of Texan applicants were offered CAP. Again, feel free to improve upon this.

The status check site is down for me right now so maybe they’ll be out soon?

You cannot do CAP if you already have the AP credits. But it does not matter at all. Look at the admissions website for transfer admissions. You can earn 30 credit hours anywhere and have the minimum GPA (2.5) and then be admitted. If you cannot make a 2.5, you probably don’t belong in college anyway. If UT Austin is that important, then just go that route if you are not admitted as a freshman.

It’s down for me too…

I got error 504

ANYONE?
