Admission decisions?

Those who were accepted, is it possible to post your stats? If possible, please post it.

Waitlisted. SATs: 800 CR, 780 writing, 700 math. 4th in class of 439. Classical singing, choirs, band, bassoon and voice lessons, Franklin Institute volunteer science presenter, Seeing Eye volunteer puppy raiser, tutor. Wrote what I thought were unique, well-written essays, and I put a lot of effort into them. Skidmore was one of safety schools, and I guess that’s why they rejected me, so they could have a higher yield. I’ve been accepted to Northwestern, UMD, Gettysburg, Ithaca, and Washington College and rejected at Vanderbilt.

Waitlisted/devastated: 740 writing, 720 CR, 690 math. Weighted GPA 4.24. NHS, National French HS, National Math HS, National Science HS, peer connection, literary magazine editor, 5 APs, early college calculus as junior, presented at NOAA conference on DNA sequencing. Catholic girls school in Connecticut. Interviewed with admissions counselor and visited twice.

Made an account just to add my input…

Waitlisted! 710 CR, 680 Math, 660 Writing. 3.8 UW GPA. Great SAT II scores and teacher rec’s. Took tons of APs, many EC’s, band, debate, Model U.N., NHS, etc. etc. Visited on Open House, had a wonderful alumni interview.

I’m pretty bummed (not to mention confused), as Skidmore was probably a very high 2nd choice behind a pretty darn reachy school that’s my 1st (from which I haven’t heard back yet). I thought I’d get in for sure!

I did accepted at Bard, though. I applied without knowing too much about it, but after doing some research it is looking more and more appealing.

I’m not interested in playing the waitlist game, so I’ll probably just treat this as a rejection.

My D was accepted.

SAT 1390, ACT 34
rank 8/284
NHS pres, track team captain, hospital volunteer
A pretty good interview on campus

My S was wait listed

waitlisted(and crushed) with an 1890 SAT score, 3.57 weighted GPA(out of 4.00), top 40 in a class of over 400, NHS, A Life Scout, theatre for 4 years, 3 AP’S, speech and debate for 4 years, choir for three years, interviewed and visited once, was told “I have a good chance”. If they wait listed me because they thought I put Skidmore as a safety I will be ****ed. They were (and are) my top choice.

rejected…

Still haven’t received my letter yet. Scary.

Accepted. 1960 SAT (1370 CR+M), ACT 29, 3.79 GPA (Unweighted 4.0 scaled), Class rank 14/150, All-state level musician (band and chorus), NHS Vice Pres, 3 AP’s, Scholar’s Bowl Captain for 2 years, some volunteer work, great interview on campus. I’m almost certainly attending  Good luck to anyone who hasn’t heard!
