Admission Decisions

I applied to Franklin & Marshall regular decision, when will I hear back?

From the past trends, admission decisions for F & M is around March 25.

Last year, my daughter heard the day after the deadline. The decision was mailed, not online. So location probably has something to do with it. I’m guessing they were mailed the day before the deadline.

Just heard back today in the mail (I live in California). Accepted! It was also posted on my online portal.

Really - on the portal? did you receive financial aid info as well?

@musicmad20- Unbelievable early!?
Did you apply ED2 or RD?
What’s your stats if you don’t mind?

I applied RD, and financial aid information was in my snail mail letter as well.

I was just as shocked. I thought it would be another few weeks. My letter said, “We are still a few weeks away from finishing our regular decision committee and notifying applicants, but the Admission Committee was so impressed by your stellar academic achievements and engagement that we chose to quickly welcome you… Please know that you are receiving your admission letter weeks before your future classmates.”

My basic stats are:
SAT: 800 CR, 580 M, 700 W
ACT: 30
GPA: 4.1 (W)
I also interviewed in the Bay Area.

Congratulations! Are you attending? Have you visited? It’s a great school.

Received the same letter as musicmad yesterday. in NY

Thank you! I haven’t visited yet. I am still waiting on several more schools (and aid awards) until I make my final decision.

@musicmad20 - were you happy with finaid package? congrats!

@tigerm could you post your stats as well?

GPA:4.0 UW
SATs: 2230
9 APs, the rest honors
Many leadership roles in ECs

Two of my friends got their decisions a while ago in the email. They were both waitlisted. But I still havn’t gotten my decision yet. Really eager and nervous now!

I am from Sweden and I got an email admitting me earlier today. I am very happy right now since I got enough financial aid as well! I am in shock right now.

Are there any other international students who have gotten their decisions yet?

Airfan- Do you know if you’re friends applied ED or RD? And do you know their stats?

I applied RD but wish I applied ED. Now I’m freaking out that my SAT’s are too low (1950 combined, 1280 CR+M), and that I didn’t take very many AP classes.

I did tour the campus and interview. I have several ECs and am in NHS. 3.98W GPA.
Chance me, anyone?

Admitted! I’m an international and they were so generous with their aid package! Now I’m just waiting for results from other colleges. Where else did you apply to Chris?

Congrats tacotheory! I also applied to Gettysburg, Dickinson, Depauw, St. Lawrence U, College of Wooster and Hillsdale College. I have been admitted to Depauw so far as well, but haven’t received any other decisions yet. Yes, they were very generous indeed :)

Waitlisted. International.
SAT 1930
Two subjects
TOEFL 108
GPA 9.3/10

It’s not my account though I just can’t access it
it’s my friend’s with much better stats haha=)))

how much financial aid did you guys receive?
I need like almost full and I’m not sure even if i get accepted that anything will be left

I am pretty sure that if you get accepted they will meet your demonstrated financial need, but I would not count on getting in since waitlists are really tough. The smartest thing for you would be to send them an email and tell them why you would be a perfect fit for them and how they have the potential to challenge you and so forth. Then I would let it go and don’t think about it too much. I did that last year and almost went crazy, haha!
