Does anyone know when Duquesne will start sending out admission decisions? Has anyone been accepted yet?
I’m getting so antsy !
@jenn214 My son called admissions late Sept to check on the status of all of his supplemental materials to make sure everything was received. He was told at that time that they weren’t going to start reviewing applications until the scholarship budgets are ironed out…probably some time in October. So, he came away from that conversation with the feeling that notifications would probably start coming out late October or early November at the earliest.
My D applied in November and received an acceptance letter in December, with merit award included.
That was a few years ago.
@wildfelix1 I ended up just emailing a staff member that I met over the summer and she said I should expect to hear back in 2-4 weeks-sometime before Thanksgiving. So the wait isn’t too long now which is exciting, but I live in Alaska so I think it’ll take even longer than normal for me to hear back. Ugh!

@jenn214 Good luck to you as well! And Alaska…that’s awesome! My son would gladly swap you places…he fell in love with Alaska when he went on vacation with his dad (all except for the “state bird”)! 
I applied in August and checked with my admissions counselor last week who said that I should hear by Thanksgiving at the latest. I am getting anxious. Good luck everyone and please post if you hear anything!
Son received his acceptance today in the mail for Duquesne’s School of Nursing.

My daughter received her acceptance letter today too for the school of Nursing. Excited!

My daughter also received her acceptance to the School of Nursing today! We live in Ohio. The letter was dated November 9 and was postmarked November 10. Remember there was no mail on November 11 due to Veterans Day.

I really hope a (positive) decision comes by the end of this week…
I especially miss living in eastern PA during moments like this. Lol.

Got my acceptance letter today!!! School of nursing
Letter was dated November 8th, so it didn’t take long to ship at all!
I’m so happy. Duquesne became my first choice ever since I visited this summer. I got a surprisingly large scholarship, so I’m 99.99% sure I’ll be going there next fall–Can’t wait!

@jenn214 Congrats - it ended up arriving quickly! Duquesne was my son’s second favorite campus after Pitt, but Pitt will be double the price so it is pricing itself out of the running for us. He is still waiting for a few more with one of his top picks posting decisions at the end of January, so a few more months of waiting for him…
