Admission Decisions!!!!!!!

(From the UCR rep on Facebook to someone) Sadly, we are a selective campus and can not offer a place for every student who applies. This means that we will have to send deferral notices to some of our otherwise qualified applicants, even if they do meet the criteria for admission to the University of California. Those notices are beginning to go out now, which would explain the message your friend saw.

wait, what message?

Do you think UC Riverside sends out admission decisions by the most qualified to the least?

I don’t think UCR is very selective… I remember some friends who got acceptances even though they didn’t apply to the school

they accept everyone with at least 3.4… im sure about that. all my friends who applied and got accepted have a 3.4 or higher.

well, I had a 3.0 GPA but I got in.

My SAT score was probably what did it though

has anyone here STILL not heard anything from them yet? =/

I haven’t heard from them yet. I’m about 4 days away from losing my mind; let’s just hope they give me some notice during then. -gulp-

dont worry people! dont you have a 3.0 gpa and above to get in and isnt the acceptance rate like 75 percent. good luck everybody

^funnypunjabi, not really.
i have a friend with 3.2 who didnt get in. i think there are many factors. it isnt as easy anymore unfortunately.

@naixn oh, yeah, they take everything into consideration, such gpa, act, ecs and community service

okay, what are the chances of my first post on CC leads to my ucr acceptance? lmao. seriously about 10 minutes after i posted here, i got my riverside acceptance. lol good luck, and be brave for those who are still waiting!

I got accepted today! I think as long as you have a 3.4+ gpa you’re good. And a solid essay, ecs, and decent SAT scores. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear still!

congrats guys!

yup, 3.4 and you’re in for (almost) sure.

so i checked My Alerts & it says ‘You have no alerts to worry about right now!’ so i’m assuming my application is complete but when i go to My Documents it says ‘We have not received a High School Transcript from’ & then my high school
does anyone else have this yet still got their decision? cuz i’m not sure if i’m just one of the people who won’t get notified for a while or if they’re holding my decision back cuz my transcripts haven’t arrived yet

omg i’m losing myu mind too!!! ohs no.

ohs hells no.

Just got admitted.

Stats:
GPA: 3.2
SAT: 1470 (Lol)
SAT II: Both around 550
Pretty good essays, considering the fact that I spent A LOT of time on them.
Decent EC’s.
Major: Psychology

There’s still hope guys, my stats are a complete piece of **** and I got admitted. Just be patient, and keep your hopes up!! I am waiting on UCI admittance right now hopefully my ****ty stats pull through again.

they are just like UCI, sending admission decisions in waves.
i got my UCR at 12:01 feb 1, but still waiting on UCI’s decision.
Stats:
UC Gpa- 3.91
SAT- 1610
top 10% in class
in-state
decent EC’s, and 100+comm. service.
i felt good about my essays too.
i really wonder if they are sending out the admission decisions based on top qualifiers first, to the worst last? anyways, congrats to those who have gotten in, and for those still waiting, i know the pain, it kills, especially when it is your first choice for college.
