Admission for Transfer Student

Ampzor in the correspondence tab of your AIS did it say it was sending a letter? I don’t know if this is true or not im just speculating but, remember how most admission representatives said that decisions will be made in last week of April and mid May? I think that those select applicants ( the ones with 4.0 GPAs) who exceeded expectations got in early and those of us still around are being reviewed in a separate applicant (B list) pool. I think that there is a method to this madness. According to the guy on Texags most applicants will find out in mid May, which makes since considering most applicants fall in the B pool.

I really don’t know. From what amezquita05 said earlier, it made me think otherwise. I had close to a 4.0 but, I didn’t have physics I & II or calculus 2 done by my application time. Right now I feel like I have been denied, but we’ll see come monday.

As for my correspondence tab, it doesn’t have anything in there but the application acknowledgement.

Am I the only one with absolutely nothing under the “MyRecord(FALL 09)” tab in the Howdy portal?
The only thing that shows is financial aid :

App. recevied
Total aid $0.00
Status : Good

And no Personal messages under the Home tab where the, “If you have not recieved a decision” message is supposed to be?

You’re definitely not the only person with nothing on your Howdy page; I think only one person who was still on step 3 had the registration window.

I do have the message on AIS though (I’m pretty sure it should be on everyone’s AIS…)

AFAIK, I’m the only one on here with the registration options under My Record. As said above, the transcript message is in AIS, not Howdy.

I wonder if the people that were admitted are seeing the registration info in my record.

I applied for the summer term and I just got an alert telling me to send in my spring grades by June 1 and they will reconsider me for the fall admission.
:frowning: Do any of you guys know what the chances are? Slim to None???

hanibal829,
how many hrs have u completed when u applied?

hmm i didn’t know there was a step five? and nothing in my howdy portal has changed either. sooo idk what that means. it doesn’t seem like anybody here is an education major?

and if we do have to send in spring grades, how long will it take? because obviously classes and housing are filling up by now, if they aren’t full already…

oh and i also called a&m admissions and spoke to a lady about the decision letters being mailed out. for me personally i’m worried i won’t receive it because i never got my UIN number through postal mail, only email. so i asked her about the letter being mailed & on my AIS it states, “A decision for this application was mailed on 5/7/09” yet she told me they havent mailed anything out. plus it’s not under my correspondence tab that they’ve mailed anything.

does it state this on anybody else’s AIS? to me this is confusing and misleading…

agfa, I’ve been admitted and I can see the registration options.

I also see this message in AIS:
“applicants who have not yet received a decision letter and whose files were complete by the March 15, 2009 deadline should send an official college transcript reflecting final Spring grades by June 1, 2009 for reconsideration for Fall, 2009.”

But I can’t register for classes yet.

mcalvelloxx did you go from step 3 to 5? Or 4 to 5? How long did it take to get from one step to the other?

I went from 3 to 4 first and it took about two days or so to move to 5.

i haven’t moved to step 4 yet… and there AIS does not contain any message… if i don’t get A&M, I have no other option left… I’m holding my breath

Very strange mcalvelloxx! Guess my netid is all kinds of messed up.

Did you try registering for the parking lotto yet? The system took my preferences, and I can still see them today, but as of tonite, AIS is still step 3. Clicking the registration link from the NSC website takes me right back to AIS and doesn’t let me register. Maybe step 4/5 will pop up early next week.

tinhchochem would you please quit being so negative, unless your a counselor and you actually know what you talking about, you have no right to be saying the kinds of things your saying, DENIED DENIED DENIED and telling someone your guessing its a no, thats ridiculous, i dont know whether you got in or not but quit trying to talk everyone down, if you have some information that is useful than by all means let me know im losing it over here waiting on their answer but go about it a different way.

anyways i went to step 4 friday and cant understand why they dont just put your decision on AIS, i will have 34 transferrable hours with a 3.45 GPA do you guys think i will have to send my spring grades in? I only have like 6 more hours to transfer over! any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

So I received two letters from A&M today. One was an application acknowledgment, which I find odd that I just received this when I sent my application in February, and the other was an acceptance letter. However, my acceptance letter said that I had been admitted for Summer I. Which I did not apply for… Also, my financial aid info isn’t updated (still says $0.00) and I don’t have that registration function for the fall like others. I’m going to call on Monday and try to figure this out.

Hey at least your in lol… Do you have a step five yet?

No AIS still shows Step 4.

A&M is not that great at managing transfers, is it? :P

orsche, how many hours did you apply with and to what school and gpa
