Admission for Transfer Student

Where are you guys seeing if courses are filling up?

Aero Engineer still on Step 3 with a 3.44 GPA at Purdue.

Outcast19- I think its only for people who’ve been admitted.

Has anyone who got in registered for classes already?

When I try, I get:

“You have no Registration Time Ticket. Please contact the registration administrator for your time ticket.”

I guess we have to wait until the new student conference?

the new student conferences is when you will meet with your advisor and register for classes. Right now your account probably doesn’t show a hold, mine doesn’t but it will show an advising hold from your department soon. You can see summer classes here: [Texas A & M University - courses.tamu.edu (C)](http://courses.tamu.edu/default.aspx?x=p5kMMrwNmBBssG87Nu1viA==), but you can only see fall classes in howdy if you are admitted I think.

You can see the Fall schedule here: [Registrar: RegLinks](http://admissions.tamu.edu/Registrar/Current/RegLinks.aspx)

Outcast, did you apply for summer? And also, just wondering, have you completed calc 1&2 and physics 1&2? I was denied as a second choice major for AERO because I didn’t have physics 1 completed at the date of my application.

Not the summer, just for fall. I am a little messed up on the courses though. At Purdue I got high enough scores for calc 1 and 2 on AP, so I didn’t take the courses. I was planning on getting both calculuses and Physics I done this summer (I took chem and some other engineering electives at Purdue instead of physics, Physics I was always planning on taking during the summer). So damn, I might be screwed then eh?

Second Choice I put Industrial Distribution.

@agfa - The student data form isn’t required. That isn’t the reason for the message.

“Your admissions status does not allow us to offer you financial aid at this time.”

I’m 99% sure it just means since I haven’t been admitted yet I can’t receive financial aid. My problem is that I have no idea if I have to send in Spring grades for reconsideration. Wouldn’t I have gotten an initial rejection letter if that was the case?

PS how the hell do you quote on this forum? I can’t find a button for it. Do you have to type out the code?

And thanks for the link!

It may not be required, but the message about missing documents didn’t go away until I filled it out.

I haven’t figured out how to quote so I just type out the code. The quote option below doesn’t seem to work.

Inter89 you’re right I think that message shows because we haven’t been admitted yet. Shouldn’t Tamu have rejected us by now? Or sent us a letter telling us to send in spring grades?

hey mcalvelloxx, I got that same message too when I tried to schedule or register, but I guess we have to send in our deposit and have it all registered and then meet with a counselor? I have no idea how this works

Yeah AERO might be a stretch as I was denied with a 3.9 GPA with no physics completed also. I think the only reason you havent been denied yet is because they are considering you for Industrial Distribution. I wouldn’t be suprised if you got in for that.

Ampzor, thanks for the encouragement in regards to ID, as long as I get into the school of engineering I’ll be content at this point.

Best of luck to you.

ampzor, sorry about not getting in.
What are your plans now?
__
carchase11, there’s a deposit for A&M?
I couldn’t find anything in the site or Howdy.

i just assumed there was one, i guess not, sorry! but we probably have to confirm or send something in, then again, i’m still on step 3 waiting for my packet

Sending in my spring grades and contacting the department for an answer to why I was denied. Waiting on UT also  I should have applied for the summer because I know two people who applied for the summer for engineering with lower GPA’s and courses complete than I and were admitted… O_o. Even if I get accepted to UT, Ill probley spend another semester in a CC then try to transfer again.

ampzor, Summer and Spring admissions are generally easier than Fall, mainly because of a low pool of applicants. I think this is true for most schools. I’m still having issues and I’m trying to get the College of Engineering to request to consider my application with Spring 2009 grades since the Biomedical Engineering department has not yet begun reviewing applicants (according to Dr. Fernandez). He told me it’s mainly because not many people had meet all of the requirements to be considered for the department, so they are awaiting spring grades. I wish I knew you could apply even though you don’t meet all requirements, would make this process so much easier.

Well now we know for our next life :-P. This will be an unforgettable experience.

So what do yall think about getting a random roommate? I dont know anyone in C.S. was thinking about living alone but think i will get bored.
