Don’t worry guys I’m fine I’m looking into some different graduate degree programs. I’m not sure If I want an MBA or masters. I might just get a masters degree in H.R. or Management. But Tamu will be one of many schools I’m applying to after I graduate from undergrad and get 2 years of work experience under my belt.

Sorry to hear that man.

I really want to go to A&M this fall but it has been three weeks and my transcript still has not been processed for second consideration. I might have to end up going to UT after all. Like Ampzor said, it seems UT has their ***** together when it comes to admissions.

Still waiting here. Caleld admissions, they cant figure out for the life of them why I am back on step 3, and why my name is turnng back up in my departments’ list of applicants. The decision that was supposedly made last week when I hit step 4 still hasnt made it to my house.

Heard anything from them yet toast?

At least you were on their list of applicants. When I called they said I wasn’t on it O_o.

You’ll find that UT has just as many problems as A&M, if not more. That’s what happens when you have 45,000+ students.

How many of yall are bringing your parents to the NSC?

I encountered absolutely no problems when I applied to UT. It was quick, simplistic, and I got my acceptance letter rather quickly.

I got my UT letter on May 22nd and my A&M letter on the 29th.
I can’t believe some people haven’t heard anything yet.
Ridiculous!

psyclone you are just one of thousands though and i bet UT messed up on some applicants to. I would say neither school is perfect in the application process.

“I encountered absolutely no problems when I applied to UT. It was quick, simplistic, and I got my acceptance letter rather quickly.”

And what I said above is that once you get to UT, you’ll have problems with the administration over something. That’s the nature of being at a school with 45,000+ students. A&M is guilty of it and so is UT.

Thanks for the heads up but, we were talking about the admissions process. First impressions are key and so far A&M has not had a good first impression.

I got moved to step 4. Said a decision was sent 6/16. i hope its good

I was denied from Aero. Called Industiral distribution to see if they made a decision and they said they dont have paperwork for my application, that I need to call back at 2…was kind fo hoping after 3 months both departments would atleast have the materials they need to make a decision with…

ya i got accepted into mays around may 15th which was 4 months of waiting and got into UT mccombs on may 28th which was 10 days of waiting. so far im leaning more towards UT since it is a better school. i wonder if i can bargain with A&M telling them i got into UT and if they want me to go there they should give me a schlorship or something.

tzoooor, you are in an enviably spot. I doubt you could bargain with A&M since there are so many who would take your spot in a heartbeat. I would take your time at this point and decide where you feel most comfortable where you want to be. UT may be ranked above A&M, but is the fit right for you? May’s is a great school, highly ranked as well - would you be happier being on a more friendly campus with a great graduate network?
Take all the time you have to decide.

Hello everyone!

I just found this site and I’m glad to see I found some people with my same problems. I wasn’t admitted as a freshman partly due to my lackluster GPA (lazy my senior year). I was unaware how strict and difficult it was to get into A&M. A&M was THE ONLY school I was not accepted to, and I chose to go to a community college to get some of my degree track done for a lot cheaper. Well, now I’ve got a 4.0 GPA through 29 hours and I’m waiting on my “late-spring” grades evaluation.

I’ve been in constant contact with a gentleman who has been very helpful to me by the name of Jon Buchanon. Sure, he’s been off a couple times but he’s been better than using the AIS system. I’m very anxious and hope I get into A&M as it is my ‘dream school’. The last I heard is that my decision won’t be done until the last week in July, or the first week in August at the latest.

I had 30 hours for reconsideration and they made my decision a few days ago it says on ais. I should find out today

“so far im leaning more towards UT since it is a better school.”

In what way/ways?

^ He’s talking about business. McCombs over Mays, all day.

tzooor i honestly doubt that a&m cares about you getting into UT…If you tell them to give you extra because you got into mccombs they would tell you to jump of a bridge, and they would probably withdraw you from admission. Their are plenty of people just as qualified as you that will take your spot in a second… so get of tha gas son.
