I was recently my accepted ED to wake forest with a 3.83/4.00 gpa and a 33 act from a competitive high school. Unfortunately, I’m getting a 3.17 for this first semester senior year. I plan to try and recover as much as possible second semester, but I am concerned wake may contact be about my grades. What are the chances that my admission will be revoked???
Don’t let your GPA drop any more.
At all. If your GPA plummets, it might make a tentative offer for admission transmogrify into a revocation. There’s no hard and fast rule that if your GPA drops below 3.1 or something, your admission status will automatically be revoked.
But that doesn’t mean you should give them a reason to.
“I am concerned wake may contact be about my grades” – doesn’t WF require a mid-year report? They will see the grades so get focused and make sure to knock it out of the park for the second semester. If there were any special circumstances this past semester, you should speak to your college counselor about how it will be presented to WF in the mid-year report. It’s a drop but hopefully you avoided a D or failing a course.
Don’t colleges have to send a warning letter before they can revoke?
They are VERY unlikely to revoke your offer unless you receive a much lower grade a D or an F in a particular class. Don’t worry just keep working and Go Deacs
You need to stay at B or higher, and thus avoid any C, D, or F on your transcript. You will not be rescinded if your final senior grades are B or higher. D 's and F 's often lead to ring rescinded.
Even if you get a 3.17 this semester, your overall GPA is still around a 3.73, right? (3.83 x 6 + 3.17 divided by 7 = 3.73). Just breathe & finish out the year with B’s at the lowest & you’ll be ok.
